Peter is constantly working with customers to assess their evolving requirements and find ways in which Controlled Environment can meet them. In response, he draws on his background as an inventor and engineer to consistently offer technologically and economically superior solutions.

Peter has managed the Harkins Group companies (of which Controlled Environment is one) since 1998. He has several decades’ experience in the design, manufacture, and commercialisation of special purpose machinery. In addition to owning and operating Controlled Environment, Peter has extensive experience in the glass recycling industry through a related company, Colmax Glass Pty Ltd, which recycles glass throughout Australia (see www.colmax.com.au).

Peter has over two decades’ experience in large-scale systems engineering and integration in Australia and Asia Pacific, including a number of roles covering business development, project supervision, and technical management.
